Entering the splendid new office on June 28, 2023, Blossom & Credit Law Firm (“Blossom & Credit”) successfully held its 20th Anniversary Ceremony · Opening Ceremony of the New Head Office in Beijing at 12/F, Building A, Xinzhongguan Building, Haidian District, Beijing (new address of Blossom & Credit). More than 50 participants, including leaders from Beijing Lawyers Association and Haidian District Lawyers Association, expert representatives, client representatives, industry representatives, media representatives, and some partners, lawyer representatives, and support team representatives attended this ceremony to jointly witness the new development and discuss the new start of Blossom & Credit.
Being established in 2003, Blossom & Credit has gradually developed into one of the leading comprehensive law firms in the industry thanks to the expansion efforts of all Blossom & Credit people amid the rapid development of the legal service industry in China. While welcoming its 20th anniversary in 2023, Blossom & Credit is starting a new journey for high-quality development. To meet the needs for development of the law firm at the new stage and empower lawyers in a better manner, Blossom & Credit moves into the Xinzhongguan Building to fully upgrade its software and hardware facilities, hence creating an “intelligent” office environment that is healthier and more comfortable.

The original aspiration comes from the beliefs, while the mission calls for responsibilities. Insisting on “development under the guidance of Party building” since its development, Blossom & Credit has won the titles of Excellent Party Organization of Haidian District for many consecutive years. To further enhance efforts for the development of the Party branch and carry out tasks of the Party branch in a better manner, Blossom & Credit established a Party Building Room in the new office. At the second stage of the event, Ms. ZHANG Lixia, President of Haidian District Lawyers Association, and Mr. CHAI Qinghai, Secretary of Blossom & Credit Branch, unveiled the plaque of the Party Building Room. At the speech stage of this event, Director PENG Youyi extended the warm greetings to all guests on behalf of Blossom & Credit. He talked about Blossom & Credit’s transformation from a law firm dedicated to commercial business to a one-stop comprehensive legal service platform in response to the diversified development trends of client needs, so as to build a service system covering various business fields to help thousands of clients pass through difficulties and anxiety. Director PENG Youyi considered that at the new stage of development, Blossom & Credit will focus on breakthrough in the management mode and expansion in the scale. In terms of professional development, Blossom & Credit established the Big Market Department in addition to 15 professional departments, so as to achieve personnel, resource, and performance integration of the law firm, hence significantly improving the market expansion capabilities. In terms of large-scale development, Blossom & Credit will continuously improve its service network and establish a mechanism for synergy between the head office and branch offices, so as to fully utilize resources of the law firm to provide legal services to clients in a more prompt and professional manner.

Later, Mr. GAO Jingbing, Deputy President of Beijing Lawyers Association, and Ms. ZHANG Lixia, President of Haidian District Lawyers Association, congratulated the Blossom & Credit people, and raised new requirements for Blossom & Credit in the future while recognizing its development in the past.
Deputy President GAO Jingbing reminded Blossom & Credit to improve political awareness, hence properly playing the role of a good lawyer satisfactory to both the Party and the people while insisting on the duties and positioning of legal workers for the socialism with Chinese characteristics; to improve professional competence and continuously explore professional capabilities, hence building a diversified and high-quality legal service team featuring strong services, strong businesses, and strong professionalism; and to strive for innovative development by selectively learning from advanced experience in the industry, hence creating more innovative products of legal services.
President ZHANG Lixia stated that, given the trend of product-oriented development of legal services, lawyers should maintain great study and exploration capabilities, respond bravely to changes in the industry and changes in products of legal services, and constantly make innovation to explore the path of differentiated development.

The client representative, Ms. GU Jun from Schneider Electric (China) Co., Ltd., shared the history of cooperation between Blossom & Credit and Schneider for 20 years from the perspective of the client. She especially talked about the highly professional legal services provided by Blossom & Credit for Schneider in terms of lawyer’s letters, collection of old debts, etc. Blossom & Credit helped Schneider recover over 25% overdue accounts in the past two years only, which not only safeguarded the legitimate rights and interests of the client, but also improved the overall capabilities of credit risk management of Schneider. Talking about the cooperation for the future between Schneider and Blossom & Credit, Ms. GU Jun expected continuous improvement in sharing standard digitalized information given the increasing pressure on corporate credit risk management, so as to assist the health business development of Schneider in a better manner.

At the third stage of the event, Mr. LI Yinwu, Managing Partner of Blossom & Credit, made use of a video to present the new brand image of Blossom & Credit. He described the new logo and visual identity (VI) system, the new official website, the upgraded WeChat official account of Blossom & Credit, and a series of celebration events to be held in various regions.
The product-oriented development of legal services has become a new trend for the professional and brand-based development of the lawyer industry. Given the long-lasting focus of Blossom & Credit on product-oriented development of legal services, Mr. LI Yinwu shared with the guests about the development background and service content of Blossom & Credit’s legal service products of credit management and legal advisory products under the topic of “product-oriented development of legal services to assist enterprise in high-quality development”.

As the expert representative, Mr. SUN Jilu, Professor of China Foreign Affairs University, described the characteristics of arbitration in commercial dispute resolution from the perspectives of equity and respect, professionalism and efficiency, trust and services, advantages, and confidentiality. Professor SUN Jilu provided three suggestions for lawyers participating in arbitration. He considered arbitration as both professional judgment and a sophisticated art. Firstly, lawyers should pay attention to the ritual value of the form - to present the inner professionalism and excellence by making use of the serious appearance. Secondly, lawyers should familiarize themselves with both the fact and relevant laws, so as to build the confidence with sufficient preparation. Lastly, lawyers should analyze legal relationships carefully, study new developments in judgment, accurately understand the trend of judgment, and propose targeted opinions in pursuit of the best results.
At the last stage of the event, Blossom & Credit specially invited Mr. YU Pengming, Founder of Xinze, to preside over the industry-university-research expert seminar to discuss the significance of product-oriented development of legal services in the high-quality development of enterprises.

The special representative, Lawyer WU Changsheng, considered that since a law firm was a market player, the legal services themselves were products. Lawyers should go back to legal study and legal practice to improve every service stage, to keep innovation, consistency, and comprehensiveness, hence creating a complete product portfolio of legal services.
Ms. LU Jue from NAURA Technology Group Co., Ltd. stated that, the client focused more on the service mode of a law firm, and preferred law firms having platform-based service advantages over teams that work separately. Sufficient knowledge of the internal affairs of enterprises was helpful for law firms to plan their services in a better manner to identify the true cause of problem.
Ms. GU Jun from Schneider Electric (China) Co., Ltd. stated that the client focused more on lawyer’s capabilities of detecting problems than solving problems. During the cooperation, Blossom & Credit was capable of alerting Schneider to risks before, during, and after events, hence helping the client to avoid risks and solve problems in a better way.
Ms. CUI Shanying, Legal Executive of Cannon (China), considered that when selecting a lawyer team, the client focused more the solution and service consciousness of the lawyer team, because a correct solution helped the client solve the problem most rapidly, while the outstanding service consciousness helped to promote the project more effectively.
Mr. LI Weiming answered the question on the preparation for product-oriented development of legal services from the perspective of the law firm and the lawyers, respectively. He talked about that the basis of such products was the legal services, while the team management should be based on integrated support. To a certain extent, it may be more practical to talk about the professional and integrated development of the law firm before the product-oriented development. From the perspective of team management, the law firm could deliver professional products of legal services only after establishing a knowledge management system that can meet both the requirements of clients and the needs of lawyers and establishing an all-round performance assessment system.
Lastly, Director PENG Youyi stated that, given that the products of legal services were products of thinking, it’s necessary to balance product standardization and differentiation during research and development, so as to ensure reproducibility through standardization and ensure competitiveness through differentiation. As service providers, lawyers may keep their leading position among market competition only by maintaining the service awareness of being positive and active.
When the event was closed in rounds and rounds of applause, the participants talked about how worthwhile it was to attend this ceremony. Passing through the hardships and challenges into the new journey, we are ready to start again.
