Ms. Yi Zhang graduated from the University of   Manchester and Cardiff University in the UK, where she obtained a Bachelor’s   degree in LLB Law and a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law. She previously served as the   Legal Manager for the patent department of an intellectual property service   company, where she was responsible for contract drafting, reviewing, and   translating for the company’s routine business, composing the intellectual   property operation-related project plans, applications for the government policy-related   projects, and the contact and communication with foreign clients. Since   joining the law firms, Ms. Zhang has specialised in counselling local and   international clients in legal services including but not limited to   drafting, reviewing, revising, and translating contracts and legal documents   in both Chinese and English; legal compliance services for corporate data   security and personal information protection, export control related   projects; business environment analysis; foreign direct investment; and   trademark registration related services.

The clients Ms. Zhang served include well-known domestic and international companies such as Dürr, ZWILLING, Wafios, SITEC, RAPA, Isabellenhuette, ABL, Coordination, Leifeld, Netstal, tausendkind, Weltbild, LMS, BDG, PG Design Inc., Alibaba, Zoomline Heavy Industry, Semir, etc.

· Provide data security and personal information protection related legal compliance services for a German company. By analysing the newly enacted laws, regulations and industrial policies together with the due diligence works for the company’s actual situation, complete the review and revise of its internal procedure and business documentation, assist the company in screening applicable laws, regulations, standards and other compliance requirements, establish the compliance structure.

· Provide legal services for a German company for the establishment of a branch company in Taicang. Efficiently complete the whole application and registration procedures with the AIC, Customs, Business Committee, Tax Bureau, bank and other authorities and institutions, ensure the company’s smooth landing and the building of the factory.

· Provide construction contract drafting services for the factory construction project of a German company. Assist the client in determining the cooperation model of the construction project, develop legally compliant project contract by the combination of the contents of FIDIC contract terms and domestic model form of construction contracts.

· Provide trademark application services for a German company. With thoroughly market investment and analysis of the involved commodity industry, a “moat” solution is developed in Chinese, English and German, and successfully file trademark applications for   a number of classes of trademarks.

· Provide market research services for an American company. To assist the company in completing market sampling and shipping by communicating with the related   enterprises, preparing questionnaire and generating the report.

· Provide legal service to support a Korean company in cross-border technology transfer project. Prepare the relevant documents and contract, communicate with the relevant authorities and successfully complete the technology transfer for 21 patent inventions.

· Responsible for the communication with the relevant government department and the preparation of the documentation for the client’s Policy Subsidy for Corporate’s Contribution and High-level Talents for the Professional Services under the 13th Five-Year Plan, and successfully receiving the policy stimulus package amount.

· The developed project plan of The Pilot Project of the National Intellectual Property Service Platform for International Business (Shanghai) is adopted by the China   National Intellectual Property Administration.

· The developed project   plan of The Project of the IPB HUB is adopted by the Management   Committee of Shanghai Zhangjiang High-tech Park.

· The developed IP Service and Training Programme is adopted thus the company successfully become the only IP service provider for the 2018 Global Create @Alibaba Cloud Startup Contest (CACSC).
